About us

A practice site that marks the work

Learn Chinese is a bilingual practice platform for students sitting Singapore school papers — Chinese, English, Math, Science and Humanities. Everything on it exists to answer one question a worksheet cannot: not just whether an answer was wrong, but why, and what a better one would have looked like.

What it is

46 exercises, grouped the way a syllabus is: vocabulary and characters, reading and listening, writing, speaking, and full paper-style sets. 43 of them are open on the free plan. Objective questions are checked the moment they are submitted; compositions, oral recordings and worked solutions go to an AI examiner that returns a mark, the reasoning behind it, and a rewritten version to compare against.

About us

How we think about marking

A mark needs a reason

A score out of 20 tells a student how it went, not what to change. Every AI-marked answer here comes back with the reasoning and an improved version, because that is the part that transfers to the next attempt.

Practice should be short and frequent

Exercises are unit-sized rather than paper-sized, and each one opens on the next unit a student has not done. Nothing to plan, nothing to set up.

Mistakes have to come back

A wrong answer that is corrected once and never asked again is a gap waiting for the exam. Every mistake collects in one revision list.

Both languages, everywhere

The whole site switches between English and 中文, so a student and a parent can each read the same feedback in their own language.

Who it is for

Primary and secondary students preparing for PSLE and O-Level papers, parents who want to see what was practised and how it was marked, and teachers and tutors who need a class's attempts in one place with the ability to re-mark any of it.
